I am not a certified nutritionist or a medical doctor. I am not a health hippie or weight loss fanatic either. I am a husband and father of two wonderful (and sometimes cantankerous) school age children. I am average family man in most every way, except.…

I managed to get off an endless cycle of antibiotics and resolved nearly 20 years worth of medical problems in less than two weeks.

Additionally I lost over 60lbs in less than 6 months. I never counted calories, I was never hungry, and I never exercised enough to even mention it.

All of this was achieved by simply changing what I ate. I think that is pretty amazing which is largely why I want to share what i have learned. That is not exclusively my only motivation for creating Helofuud.com however.

My wife and I learned a lot of what we know about nutrition through our son who has ADD and falls under the broad spectrum of autism. Everything we learned stemmed from gaining a better understanding of our son and how nutrition affected him. It is my hope that we can help other parents like us with the information we learned over the course of the last decade.

It is important to point out that this information applies to everyone and not just parents or kids with special needs. These kids are lucky in some ways because the quality of their nutrition often has a very direct and clear effect on their behavior and health. The effects are often easy to see once you know what to look for. For the rest of the world, so many people go their entire lives unaware of what they are doing to their bodies because the effects are sadistically subtle.

These are the reasons Helofuud exists. I am not trying to sell any weight loss plans or health supplements.
